A foggy fall sunrise lighthouse elopement out at Palo Duro Canyon

Lacey + Blake grew up four streets away from each other, but somehow never met until Lacey’s sister married one of Blake’s best friends years later. Both of their favorite moments of the morning were reading each others self written vows on top of the Lighthouse as the sun was coming up over Palo Duro Canyon with fog filling the valley.
We started the morning bright and early by hiking to the lighthouse trail in the dark, ya know… because we love to take our adventures early in the morning. Once we got there they each changed into their wedding attire on each side of the lighthouse and had the sweetest first look in the morning blue hour.
When they started reading their vows you could hear the coyotes + pups howling in the morning! Honestly, such a cool experience alone.
After exploring all the nooks and crannies of the lighthouse we took a break and had a midday nap. Yeah, you read that right- NAP! We met back up at our favorite private property spot for sunset exploring where we took them to see incredible views, popped some champagne, and kissed some cows.
One detail to note is Lacey had a bracelet that had a birthstone to represent each of their kids and their parents so they could be with them in spirit.Â
