Big Bend is the crown jewel of Texas elopements. Fifteen hundred foot canyon walls on the Rio Grande, hot springs you can soak in with your rings on, the Chisos Mountains glowing copper at golden hour, and a certified International Dark Sky park overhead, which means the Milky Way comes to your wedding uninvited.

Best for: couples who want remote and mean it. Best months: October through April. What you need to know: it is far from everything on purpose, cell service is a rumor, ceremonies need a park permit, and the desert rewrites timelines in summer. All of which is my favorite kind of problem to solve.
