Hell’s Gate at Possum Kingdom Lake
I know the name Hell’s Gate doesn’t exactly scream love, but it is quite the location! Hell’s Gate is two massive cliffs that act as a passageway into a huge cove at Possum Kingdom Lake. You know, a perfect gateway to have guests down on their boats while you’re up on the cliff, and after you say “I Do” you jump off the cliff just like the daredevils for Red Bull. (I’m kinda kidding?? Maybe? Does that freak you out or get you excited because people actually do this…)
One of the cliffs is the far edge of “Devil’s Island”. If you’re looking for that lake-side summer party scene for your reception, look no further. During the summer the cove fills with boats that anchor to relax and enjoy the water. On the Fourth of July, one of the largest firework displays in Texas is shot of this location. The cove is surrounded by luxurious lake homes, some of which can be rented. Hell’s Gate is definitely an impressive sight.
Come freaking get married on the lake and do stellar sunset photos up on the cliffs of the gate!
The Possum Kingdom Elopements is the perfect fit for couples who want to have a real texas adventure, but with water, boats, and jet skis.
This sanctuary offers everything you need such as airbnbs to get ready at and for celebration, a restaurant on the lake, and the best view for a texas sunset.
We can marry just you two or you can throw a huge party and invite your closest friends and family!
Wanting to do something totally different and unique? Get married at a museum. You can host an event at most of the dallas museum’s. Come and set up a unique tablescape for you and your closest friends, get married in the sculpture garden, and take incredible photos both in the museums halls. Imagine all of this along the sunset beams breaking through downtown.
