5 ways to have a Texas Adventure Elopement Wedding with Guests

Are you wanting to have an epic adventure elopement wedding but didn’t know you could invite guests? Not to worry, we will show you 5 different ways you can have the adventure of your dreams and still have your most favorite friends and family by your side.

One of the most frequently asked questions we get is, “can we still elope in these amazing places within Texas and have our family with us?”. Well, of course. You don’t have to feel obligated to do a true elopement with just you two in order to have something baller outside. There are plenty of locations within Texas where you can have a celebration with your friends and family with scenic backdrops and still have the intimate elopement feel. We’ve seen small intimate elopements with around 7 people all the way to 30 people dancing on cliffsides. I think you’re going to be excited to learn that you don’t have to rent a venue for your guests in order to enjoy your wedding day.

Family is important to have at your adventure wedding

You’re the type of person who really values family and wants them to be a part of your adventure wedding day, but just don’t know how to do that. When I had my consultation with Brittany she expressed just how important her parents and grandparents are to her and didn’t know if she could have them join in. I put together a plan for her and this is what we came up with- Brittany spent some time up at the nursing home to include her mom and grandma. She let her grandma help her get ready by putting on lipstick and spending the time just loving on her. When family is important to you there are ALWAYS ways to include them, even if they can’t make it out to the adventure wedding ceremony spot. Brittany did a first look with her mom and dad and then we headed out the door to the ceremony spot off the cliffs. After the ceremony we went off and did some intimate sunset photos of them and then they headed off to spend more time with their family. Click here to see the whole story if you want a good cry

Have a private moment off a cliff while your guests enjoy drinks and appetizers

Candace absolutely loved the idea of having a private moment off the cliffside at Possum Kingdom Lake and then having her most favorite people join in for celebration later on in the day. They chose to keep things a little traditional in the sense of having everyone together getting ready, first looks with mom and dad as well as having a bridal party.

Have your adventure elopement wedding location where guests have room to stand

Matilda + Sam both wanted something small, intimate and fun! They kept to tradition on getting ready with their friends and family all the way up to her dad walking her down the “aisle” to the rock. Family and friends were able to stand around them all while the vibe still feeds off the water and rock scenic formations. After the ceremony the couple went off to do intimate sunset photos for just themselves as their family went back to the little venue they rented. They ended the night with a cute little sit down dinner, jamming to music and eating cake until they couldn’t stand!

Have an adventure wedding with incredible views for your guests

Taylor + Logan drove over 9 hours to their adventure destination with their most favorite people on Earth. They did the hair and make up at an airbnb and then headed to the private ranch to get dressed in our rental boho tent. They chose this location because it was easily accessible to their guests, catering, and I mean, look at it! After their ceremony they took off for intimate sunset photos of just them two while their guests stayed behind to drink and munch on goodies. When they got back to their guests on the rim of the canyon the party started! There was a dance floor made of rugs, a DJ, sit down dinner, string lights, a bar and CAKE! They did not stick to any traditional things such as toasting, garter tosses, but they sure did get their dancing on! If you want to see their day unfold click here for the blog

Have a sunrise intimate wedding with your guests

Another option we have is what Ariel and Colin decided to do at their airbnb. They wanted to have the whole day ahead of them and so they did their ceremony at sunrise and still included the family in the traditional methods of getting ready. Mom helped with the dress, did a first look with her dad, and even had him walk her down the “aisle”. After the ceremony the family went back to their own airbnbs while we took the couple out on a little adventure. We sat off cliffs, had a first dance, sat and had coffee with aoudad sheep. Then celebrated just between them two of eating their cake, drinking champagne and chillin in the hot tub. If you want to see more of their story click here
